Triangle Lions and McClymont B will meet in the final of the Handicap Knock Out Cup on Thursday 11 May in the McClymont Hall..
In the semi-final between McClymont B (Calum Findlater, Eric Vollaire and Natalie Gallan) and Triangle Trio (Sean Kelly, George Studd and Norman Buchanan) the youngsters had the edge in games won (5-4) as well as in the all important points difference (29).
Findlater (24) beat Kelly (21) 61-47 and Studd (25) 61-48 but lost by the closest of margins to Buchanan (25) 61-60.
Vollaire (30) also won two of his three games, beating Studd 61-60 and Buchanan 61-58. Kelly however spoiled Vollaire's evening with a 61-55 victory against the McClymont player.
Gallan (25) found her handicap more of an obstacle than her team-mates and both Buchanan (61-56) and Studd (61-59) beat her. In the penultimate encounter of the evening Gallan did however gain 12 points advantage in her victory against Kelly which represented a substantial proportion of the overall points difference between the teams.
Teams still with outstanding Cup fixtures are encouraged to complete them as soon as possible.
